Together We Can Build A Better Pomona

As a Community Leader in District 4,

I will work towards educating, engaging and empowering our community,

because I believe Community Changes Everything!

We must address the need for :

Increased Public Health & Safety

Through expanding City safety & beautification efforts throughout our Holt & Indian Hill Corridors, seeking efficient ways of allocating our city resources, such as our community officers and reinvesting into neighborhood watch type programs. Investing into our continued work to fight Human Trafficking within the City. Rethinking our approach to the unhoused community to find pathways to housing, employment, and compassionately lessen their impact on our residential and business communities. Creating greater access to mental health services for all our residents.

Increased Revenue & Commerce

Through sensible and equitable City business policies and accountability, we must support our existing businesses and work towards attracting new businesses and developments that will support Pomona’s unique culture and diversity. Through reimagining our corridors through the lens of Public Business Improvement Districts and reinforce local employment support with improved training and access.

Improve Housing Stability

Through equitable policies for our renting residents in Pomona, as well as finding a balance in our efforts to support responsible property owners. Exploring renewed efforts to increase homeownership through programs such as First Time Buying programs, “Rent to Own”, Community Land Trusts, and supporting ADUs in our historic neighborhoods and throughout the District.

Engage & Equip All Residents

Through effective communication and outreach to all our residents, including those who have technological, socioeconomic, or language barriers. Ensuring our City is committed to reach every single individual or family with ongoing programs and resources. This has also led to conversations regarding how we survey residents for things like CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) funding priorities. In the past, surveys have only resulted in 200-400 responses, less than 0.25% of Pomona’s residents. Rethinking how we engage our community is imperative.  We must continue the work to ensure our residents are engaged and supported.
